What makes a workbench really good?
Solid construction?
A flat work surface?
Plenty of storage for your tools?
A versatile vise and clamping system?
Certainly those are all important. But many of us have limited space, so how about mobility? Can we build a really solid workbench that is also mobile?

The answer is yes. This workbench is made of 3/4″ plywood panels that are screwed and glued to corner gussets for unmatched strength and stability. Similar to the “unibody” construction of modern cars, this design is much stronger and more stable than traditional workbenches that use a wooden frame.
This is a heavy workbench. But the large 4″ locking casters make it easy to roll it out onto the floor when you need it. When you’re finished for the day, just roll it off to the side .

One of the flatest and most dimensionally stable materials available is MDF board. We use two layers of MDF board with adjustable leveling blocks to ensure a precisely flat work surface.

The nine spacious drawers and the storage cabinet in the middle of this workbench provide plenty of storage for your tools.

Most woodworkers would agree that the typical seven inch wood vice is only adequate for small rectangular shaped workpieces. This workbench has a built in T-Track arrangement that enables you to securely clamp both rectangular and irregularly shaped items as small as your finger or as large as the workbench top.
